Rosé Sangria Recipe
Per request, here is my favorite sangria recipe. I’ve tried making all different kinds of variations - white, red, rosé, fruity, dry, sparkling - but this one right here is definitely the most delicious and refreshing. It’s so yummy for summer.
Ingredients:
2 bottles of rosé wine (Try Mulderbosch or Bastianich, both under $15)
1 cup white rum (or Sprite to cut down the alcohol)
1/3 cup Grand Marnier
1/2 cup orange juice
1/3 cup sugar (or Splenda)
 1 cup sliced strawberries
2 peaches, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced, seeds removed
1 lime, thinly sliced
Handful of blueberries
Handful of raspberries
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients except fruit in a large pitcher. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add fruit, refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours. Enjoy!

July 16, 2012

My parents were at the lake this weekend, so my friends and I embraced our inner 16 year old selves and went to their house to drink their alcohol and sit by the pool and pretend we were adults on vaca. [Side story: I got a text from my mom saying it was raining at the lake we normally go to, so they drove to Lake Havasu and rented a Sea-Doo near the London Bridge…Which made me think that my real parents stumbled into some peyote or were abducted by aliens out in the desert and replaced by 21 year old spring breakers.] I guess it was the theme of the weekend. Keepin it young!
The real purpose of this post is that I wanted to share a killer drink I made (up). It started out as a sangria and by day 2 I added more booze and ice and threw it in a blender, and it became some sort of frozen deliciousness.
Sangria:
Chopped Strawberries, Mango, White Nectarines
1 Bottle of Moscato (sweet white wine)
1 Bottle of Sparkling White Wine
Frozen Deliciousness:
Splash of Rum
Splash of Tequila
Splash of Fruit Juice (My mom had passion fruit in her fridge)
2 cups of ice
Cheers!
